Lydia Miller - Ohio Theatre Marquee Art

The Greater Columbus Arts Council is deeply grateful for the generosity we receive throughout the year. Contributions from our philanthropic community, and individuals like you, allow us to accomplish our mission to support and advance the arts and cultural fabric of Columbus.

We are committed to our vision of a thriving Columbus where the arts matter to all of us and where all of us have access to the arts. We cannot do it without you! To further support our work please consider making a general donation or supporting one of our programs.

#ArtUnitesCbus Fund

On June 1, we partnered with CAPA to launch #ArtUnitesCbus, an initiative to employ Columbus-based visual artists to paint murals on plywood installed over the broken windows at the Ohio Theatre and the Arts Council office. The community response has been overwhelmingly positive and the Arts Council remains committed to helping businesses and individuals who want to donate support to this effort, artists who want to connect with businesses and businesses who want to employ artists to paint their storefronts. We feel proud to have these artists in our community, and we remain committed to facilitating the connection between mural artists and local businesses hoping to show solidarity through their own storefronts.

You can support our effort by donating to the #ArtUnitesCbus fund below. 100% of your contribution will be used to employ artists to paint messages of healing and unity on boarded storefronts. Join us in healing our community with your gift below.

The current pandemic crisis caused by COVID-19 has created an economic hardship for Franklin County’s artists. With the cancellation of events and educational art programs, many artists lost essential income to cover basic needs. Thanks to the generosity of these donors, we granted 416 Franklin County artists more than $318,000 to date.
